Οταν κανείς αγοράζει κάτι απο το ebay έχει μετά τη δυνατότητα να βαθμολογήσει τον πωλητή και να γράψει κάποια σχόλια. Τα σχόλια αυτά χρησιμεύουν και στους επόμενους αγοραστές συνήθως, για να δουν αν ο πωλητής ειναι φερέγγυος, αν τα προϊόντα του ειναι καλά κλπ. Ομως αν δεν είσαστε ευχαριστημένος ...
μπορεί ενα κακό σχόλιο να σας οδηγήσει και στα δικαστήρια. Ετσι έγινε και με την περίπτωση του Michael Steadman ο οποίος αγόρασε ένα ρολόι των 44 δολαρίων. Το ρολοι του ήρθε σε κομμάτια και ήταν χάλια. Εγραψε αρνητικά σχόλια στον πωλητή και εκείνος του απάντησε με μια αγωγή 15,000 δολαρίων καθώς όπως λέει του κατέστρεψε τη φήμη
